Delco and Surrounding Area Schools
For families with children, one of the primary concerns in moving to a new home is what schools your children will attend. The Delaware County and Main Line areas around Newtown Square have excellent schools. From pre-school through high school and onto community college and major universities, this region has some of the finest educational institutions to be found anywhere. Local school systems include Chester County, Delaware County, Montgomery County and Bucks County. These are large school systems that provide many neighborhood elementary schools, as well as the larger middle and high schools. Valley Forge Military Academy is also located in nearby Wayne. For those who choose to homeschool their children, there is a strong local network of like-minded parents as well as a statewide organization and a national organization. There is even an organization called K12 Inc., that specializes in virtual learning centers.

Local Community Colleges include Bucks County Community College, Montgomery County Community College and Harcum Junior College. The Philadelphia area is known for its strong educational system and excellent schools from kindergarten to graduate school.
